MICROSOFT CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER AT CAMPUS PARTY

Post by asimd23 »

The thirteenth edition of Campus Party, the largest gathering of Internet users in Spain, begins tonight. This is a very special edition as it coincides with the 10th Anniversary of Windows Live Messenger, which Microsoft will celebrate with the "campuseros". Microsoft Ibérica, which once again acts as a sponsor of Campus Party, continues to lend bank data its support to this type of event that allows the sharing of technological knowledge and innovation.

Microsoft will have a space open to the public with two Surface devices, one of the biggest advances made to date by Microsoft in its effort to evolve traditional computer interfaces towards a more natural and intuitive way of interacting with digital information. To mark the anniversary, an application has been developed for the touch table, which will allow visitors to create personalized themes in a very simple and intuitive way with Messenger motifs, such as emoticons or buddies. Once they have finished their design, the creators will be able to choose whether to send it by email as a desktop wallpaper or print it on the spot on a vinyl that they can stick on their PC.

There will also be two large Windows 7 laptops on display to try out the touch experience. Windows 7 offers more choice in how you interact with your PC, with options including Multi-Touch and improved handwriting and voice recognition. Visitors will be able to check out improvements and new features in Microsoft's operating system, which makes it easier to use your home network audio-video system and other multimedia devices to play music, watch videos, and display photos.
