Am I the only one suffering from the chronic I-must-have-missed-a-lot-of-information-overload ailment, or are there people who can shake my hand?
No matter how much information I absorb in my head, that doubt algeria mobile phone number list keeps nagging. “We select the stories precisely to make that mountain of information bearable. We have received positive feedback from our pilot with representatives from the business community, among others. NU Zakelijk writes about things that have happened and we write about things that are going to happen. We also hear that we write better.” Staps smiles broadly. I notice a clear desire to conquer the market.
Proud of Dutch journalism
Staps is proud of everything that happens in Dutch journalism, including among competitors. There is a lot of movement in a small country, which gives the Netherlands great visibility on the world stage. For example, NRC Q achieved Nieman Journalism Lab around the launch. None other than media watcher Ken Doctor included NRC Q in the article The newsonomics of three cracks at the mobile news puzzle .
Freek Staps: “This just goes to show that there is a market for quality journalism and that people are prepared to pay for it. What is impossible with the newspaper, we want to tackle via NRC Q. We want to be where the reader is and where the interaction takes place.”
He continues: "We still use a very classic model. Stories are made by the editors and we have advertisements. The two parts work separately. The advertising department has no influence on the articles. Financially it is going well and we receive enough subjects, through many channels."
NRC Q can zoom in on a subtopic and make a top story of it. It seems to me a nice position from which the editors can guarantee quality.
