Instagram Live Rooms

Post by Bappy11 »

Live streaming with audio: it's all the rage. But do you know the difference between the apps and new features? While Clubhouse is conquering the world, Twitter is launching a similar feature: Twitter Spaces. And Instagram lets users live stream with Instagram Live Rooms. What exactly is Clubhouse, and how does it differ from Twitter Spaces and Instagram Live Rooms? This video explains!

Clubhouse
This hugely popular app, available since March 2020, has gained millions of new users in a short period of time. This app is all about live audio rooms. With this app, anyone can start a live audio room (private or public). Listeners can raise their hand and then join the conversation.

Simple, fast access and very popular. But, there are some privacy issues . And although the Android version has been announced, Clubhouse is currently only for iOS users, and by invitation only.

Twitter Spaces
Given the popularity of Clubhouse, it’s no wonder Twitter came up with Twitter Spaces . This feature job function email database is currently in testing. Twitter Spaces is very similar to Clubhouse: also live audio rooms, here with 10 speakers in 1 room and no limit on listeners.

The big difference is that on Twitter the audio livestreams are an additional feature, and Clubhouse runs purely on the live rooms. Only a few users can create audio rooms themselves at the moment, but all Twitter users can listen in.

Social Media Examiner CEO Michael Stelzner said in a Clubhouse room this week that his first Twitter Space wasn’t getting much visibility (even with 178K followers, after a tweet and a few DMs). It seems Twitter still has work to do.

And then Instagram Live Rooms . You can tell from the name: this is also live, but with video. Up to four speakers can be in 1 live session, otherwise it is quite similar to previous live streams where you could enter with two accounts. What really makes Instagram Live Rooms different is that this live stream includes video. In addition, Live Rooms come with shopping and fundraising options, which could make it attractive for companies and organizations.

Have you experimented with Clubhouse, Twitter Spaces or Instagram Live Rooms? What do you prefer and why? Leave your comment or question!
