Many outsiders have complaints about the local area, such as low work efficiency, lack of ambition, transportation not as convenient as in Taiwan, and bad food...
To be honest, if a foreigner in Taiwan keeps complaining about Taiwan, would you want to tell him to get out of Taiwan?
So when we go abroad and become that brazil mobile database foreigner who is dissatisfied with everything, how can we expect to be accepted by the locals?
During the two years in the Dominican Republic, I made a lot of friends and did a lot of things that would have been impossible in Taiwan.
This includes eating that unappetizing red bean rice bento every day, dancing with a dozen strangers of the opposite sex on the street and in nightclubs in one night, talking to strangers wherever I go, rushing out immediately when a neighbor invites me to drink on the street during a power outage, trying every type of class in the gym that I would never take in Taiwan, and running to cry to an Italian grandma colleague when I was so sad about a breakup.
Be flexible about everything
