The beginning of partial mobilization in Russia was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 21, 2022. A month later, on October 28, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that mobilization activities in the country had been completed. According to the Russian Defense Ministry , 302,503 people from 1,430 municipalities were called up as part of the partial mobilization.
