Motive is a route planning and fleet management platform that offers real-time GPS tracking of vehicles, trailers and other assets, as well as dashcam integration. Formerly known as KeepTruckin, the tool collects telemetry data for all vehicles, so it can tell if a vehicle is stuck in traffic and a delivery is delayed. Vehicle data such as speed, error codes, engine temperature and fuel level are also displayed, as well as inside and outside temperature information for refrigerated vehicles. GPS points are recorded not only at fixed intervals of 1-3 seconds, but also based on speed and direction changes, so you don't miss any sudden changes and your location is always up to date in real time. The journey can also be viewed retrospectively in Motive, and events or problems during the journey are automatically highlighted, making the journey easier to evaluate.
A fleet overview shows all vehicles on a map and informs you which vehicles are currently in use, not yet in use, or are close to each other. Geofencing can be used to send alerts when vehicles or objects enter or leave a certain area.
