Jim Demetrius, cloud infrastructure architect at technology services distributor TBI, identifies three trends that will greatly influence the further evolution of cloud computing in the new year.
Covid-19 has had a profound impact on the course of events in 2020. Fundamental changes, some of them temporary, have affected almost the entire business world. This impact will be felt in the new year. Cloud computing will evolve to meet this new reality. In particular, three trends will have a major impact on its development.
In March of this year, it was predicted that enterprises brazil whatsapp data on-premise equipment would be moving a significant amount of their services to the cloud, colocation services, or outsourcing them to managed infrastructure providers. These predictions have indeed proven true, and many companies were indeed moving to the cloud, but Covid-19 has forced them to accelerate the transition.
This turned out to be a very pragmatic decision because the lockdown forced companies to close their offices, making it almost impossible to access equipment. If a serious problem had arisen, it could have turned into a disaster. Even replacing broken equipment could have led to delivery delays. Companies realized that going virtual was a safer, more flexible, and possibly more cost-effective solution.
