Working People is based on the ADP Research Global Workforce Survey, a robust study conducted annually since 2015. Designed by a team of analysts at ADP Research, the survey captures data about the labor market from the perspective of employees themselves, hoping to provide insights that can improve the world of work by better understanding employee sentiment and expectations.
Based on survey data from nearly 38,000 working adults in 34 markets across six continents, Working People 2025 provides a stronger and more representative sample of the global workforce to provide regional and market-level comparisons of employee sentiment in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and North America.
Respondents came from a variety of industries, educational backgrounds, on-site and remote work environments, and skill sets. They represent a range of management and individual contributor roles, working for employers of all sizes.
The Workforce 2025 report series is unique in that it loan data uses a proprietary methodology developed by ADP Research to provide detailed employee sentiment measurements for different types of employees. In addition to demographic and employer characteristics, survey respondents were categorized by their job type (knowledge-based, skilled task-based, or cyclical), regardless of industry.
Working People’s ability to gather sentiment from these various worker and geographic levels provides employers with a granular and global view of their workforce that they can use to better understand their own workforce and drive growth through data-driven talent decisions.
“The future of work priorities will be increasingly global and dynamic,” said Richardson. “The new Workforce series format allows for more targeted analysis of the data by topic and region, better ensuring that global business leaders with different needs receive the same level of actionable research on a variety of topics impacting their workforce.”
Each report combines global trends with market-by-market insights into workplace topics, ranging from the impact of artificial intelligence and inflation on having multiple jobs to salary trends and career development.
