Purpose is the path between the head and the heart

Post by jrineakter01 »

The definition of purpose is relatively easy to understand:

It is the why behind everything in your life and what allows you to connect with society and contribute value. It is the intersection between what you do best (your special skills) and what society needs.

On my blog you can find these and other definitions of purpose so you can understand it better and even start by understanding what Ikigai is . They are different approaches to philippines girls telegram the same idea. What I do well (my company or I), and how I can apply it to society to meet a need or solve a problem.

In my case I have verbalized it in the following way:

I have been providing my clients with the tools they need to solve their marketing challenges for over 20 years, but where I really add value is by lighting the fuse of inspiration to find the most effective solutions.

This verbalization starts with a more personal definition of my why that allows me to land it in hows where I can develop my “superpower” to the maximum. Things like mentoring, purposeful marketing (I will soon announce something about this), conferences, books, etc.

But I always like to know the vision of others to have a more complete view. That's why I leave you this video by Joey Reiman , a great expert in the definition and application of purpose in companies.

Of all the interesting things he says, these are the ones that resonated with me the most:

Find your meaning (why) and happiness will follow.
Chasing money in the short term distracts you from your why, distracts companies, harms society in the medium term,…. and distances us from our contribution to society and happiness.
Companies have the solution to the problems in their hands: they are the ones that generate the most trust in society and the ones that, for the most part, have been out of focus. We have a crisis of meaning. We focus on what makes us money, not on what makes us happy.
But the one I would highlight the most is:

Purpose is the path between the head and the heart

It may seem like a lofty or philosophical phrase, but it is the key to defining purpose. We must begin to understand things from what we are, from what we are passionate about, and not from what we are supposed to do, what is socially accepted, or what brings us the most money. Finding the balance between both worlds is the key.
