Alberta Innovates announces new funding through the Digital Innovation in Clean Energy program (it says). $2.5 million in funding is available from Alberta Innovates, with up to $250,000 available per project over an 18-month period.
The DICE program supports the development of digital technologies that create value and jobs while reducing emissions in the energy sector. This includes technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain , usa rcs data the industrial Internet of Things, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), virtual and augmented reality, digital twins and much more. The program aims to use data to de-risk cash flows to create value for developers and end users. Proposals may include areas such as:
New sources of clean energy and efficient, convenient and reliable storage technology.
Techniques for optimizing the effective and efficient extraction and processing of resources.
Exploration, development and production of non-renewable and renewable energy resources, value-added and alternative products, mineral value chain and green technology.
