As Jeb Blount says in his article and podcast, Reflection and Regret, “When you reflect, you get rid of your emotions and look at all of your work over the past year objectively.”
Here are nine reflection prompts to help you kick off the new sales year:
View the entire calendar
Look for patterns and gaps.

Look in your wardrobe

Take an honest look at every sales opportunity you lost
Are you creative, or are you just working on autopilot? Are you actually taking advantage of opportunities, or are you just being compared? If so, what could you have done differently to win those opportunities?
Have you improved your sales, organizational, technical, or industry skills? How many books or seminars have you read or attended in the past year? Write out a plan for this year in which you will personally do something each quarter to improve your professional skills.
