Adding a Responsive Fullscreen Menu in WordPress

Menus are important to help visitors navigate your WordPress website and find more posts and pages. Responsive full-screen menus can be especially helpful when designing your site for mobile users.

When your users click or tap a hamburger icon, a full-screen overlay of your website's menu will appear with a beautiful animation.

We've experimented with different menu types on our own sites to see what produces the best results. In this article, we'll show you how to add a responsive fullscreen menu in WordPress without having to write any code.

Well-designed menus help your visitors navigate your WordPress website or WooCommerce store, but tapping a standard header menu can be difficult when using the small screen of a smartphone.

Note: You'll notice that FullScreen Menu has not been tested with the last 3 versions of WordPress, but we have tested it on our demo site, and it currently works fine. For more information, see our guide on whether you should use outdated WordPress plugins .

After activation, you should visit the “ Fullscreen Menu Options ” page in your WordPress admin menu to configure the plugin settings. You will automatically be redirected to the Settings tab.


It's a good idea to also check the "Show menu only for admin users" box initially. This way you'll be able to see the changes while you're configuring the menu, but your site visitors won't be able to see it until you're done.
