TFollowing several rumors and leaks, WhatsApp Channels are now a reality on a global level . The social network itself has confirmed this in a post on its official blog , in which it states that the channels are "a private way to receive relevant updates."
This new channel format was launched in Colombia and Singapore in June, but is now available in 150 countries. " We welcome thousands of organizations, sports teams, artists and intellectuals hong kong number data that people can follow directly on WhatsApp ," the company explained.

How WhatsApp Channels Work
WhatsApp emphasizes that channels are a one-way communication tool , meaning that only the administrator can post texts, photos, videos, stickers and surveys. This way, users can stay informed about topics of interest, from recipes to news about their favorite sports teams.
Channels are located within a new tab called “News” , where the status tab is currently located. Within it, you can access both the status of your friends and family as well as updates from the channels you follow, the latter located at the bottom of the section.
