Some of them, such as Samsung, Sony and HTC, have been the first to see the promising qualities of the virtual world and already have headsets and glasses on the market with which to offer users new and unique experiences.

This early investment has helped them position themselves at the top of the market.

And according to IDC data reflected in the following Statista infographic , Samsung is the company that leads this sector, reaching sales of 489,500 virtual and augmented reality headsets in the first quarter of 2017 .

This means that it accounts for 21.5% of total sales, although Sony is close bolivia phone number behind, having already achieved 18.8% thanks to the sale of 429,000 devices and hot on the heels of the Korean company.

HTC is a little further behind, having to make do, for the moment, with 8.4% of sales, which translates into 190,000 headsets.

Facebook and TCL also appear in this ranking, although with figures considerably lower than those of their rivals.
