Stay on Top: Content Marketing Checklist, How to Keep Up with Tech Changes, and Mobile Browsers Will Win the World

Post by ashammi258 »

As promised, we continue to select for you interesting materials from the world of telecom, technology and marketing over the past week.

1. Intolerance and a critical approach to what others do are close not only to misanthropes, but also to experts from all industries. Content marketing is no exception. The guys from the American marketing agency IMPACT Branding & Design criticized the websites of as many as 100 companies and compiled a checklist of 10 criteria for everyone else to check:

Don't hide social proof. If you have any joint projects with chile phone numbers Google or Yandex, write about it on the website immediately.
Don't underestimate real photos. Site visitors don't respect stock photos - forget your password. Put uniqueness first. If visitors don't immediately understand why you are more useful and better than others - it's all over.
Make pictures and texts friends. All content formats should convey one idea.
Make conversion paths clear and straightforward. The visitor shouldn't have to struggle to figure out how to make a purchase from your site.
Avoid sliders and carousels. Such a chain of changing pictures on the site.
Use video. Because it is a huge advantage.
Don't make visitors think too much. In other words, don't give too much information, it's just hard to digest.
Keep it simple. Don't try to sound smart, get your message across to your site visitors simply and clearly.
Show humanity and empathy. Show visitors that you feel their “pain,” and they will be drawn to you.
2. And don't forget about adaptive design :) Especially since experts unanimously declare that mobile browsers, not specialized applications, will conquer the world. Even now, the average American installs zero applications per month.

3. Speaking of trends and world changes. Technologies "grow exponentially, while organizations grow logarithmically" (proofs in Scott Brinker's longread). Translating from mathematics to human language, your company simply won't be able to keep up with everything. Use only the most necessary (for example, all 20 features of our virtual PBX :)), and focus on developing your business.

4. On the subject of the latter, you can also watch the latest TED talk by organizational change expert Jim Hemerling — he talks about how to effectively adapt to the changing technological world. The main secret is to start with people in all changes, not with some financial or process stories.

Bonus - statistics from the week before last from RIA Novosti, which calculated how much Internet access costs in different countries of the world (in case you haven't seen it yet). In Russia, the prices are some of the lowest. And therefore, the most profitable IP telephony :)
