Trump claims election before results are known
As we have come to expect from Trump, he was confident in the battle. Around 08:30 Dutch time he gave a speech to the American people. In it he was convinced of victory, while the counting of the votes was still in full swing. He also suggested that there was election fraud and announced that he would go to the Supreme Court to have the counting of the votes stopped.
We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!

Fox Journalist Chris Wallace: "Trump is throwing a match on a highly flammable situation." Democrats also responded to this. "If the president does go to court to stop the vote count, we have teams of lawyers ready to fight that," said campaign manager O'Malley Dillon.
For now, Biden is confident of victory on Election Day, even though the tension will remain high for a long time to come.
We feel good about where we are. We believe we are on track to win this election.

When the Netherlands woke up on November 4, there was, unlike the previous elections in special lead 2016, no clear winner. All eyes were focused on the 6 most important swing states of this election: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.
The graph below clearly shows that Florida was mentioned most in Dutch news coverage during election day. This swing state was the most important state for Trump's victory four years ago, with no less than 29 electors. This year, Trump also claims victory in this swing state.
After the Florida result, attention shifted to the states of Michigan and Wisconsin, with Biden ultimately winning. From November 6, Georgia and Pennsylvania were still important for Biden's victory.

Biden's wins in Michigan and Wisconsin and the tight race for the votes in Georgia and Pennsylvania were too much for Trump. Trump decided to go to court in the states of Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania to stop the counting of the votes. Trump wants to force a recount for Michigan. In this way, the political battle will also end in a legal battle.
