I wrote this article to defend entrepreneurs and professionals from dishonest agencies that pretend to be Google but only want to steal money!

Have you ever received a call from someone claiming to be from Google or calling on behalf of Google?

If you are an entrepreneur or have a kuwait cell phone number list company, I bet that at least once it has happened to you. And if it hasn't happened to you yet, probably sooner or later you will receive a phone call from an operator who will introduce himself as a representative of Google.

And in this case you will ask yourself: “ Did he really call Google?”

Unfortunately the answer is no, and now we will see better what is meant by Google call scam .

Index and summary of the page contents:

1 Call from Google to get the Local Google My Business card: it's a scam! The card is free!
1.1 Google will never call you to offer to:
1.2 Google My Business is a completely free service
2 “Google called me”, “I received a call from Google”, “Google Maps called me”, “Google positioning sale” “Google Local Listing Call”
3 But then who makes these calls? Or who are the scammers who send SMS with the words “Dear, we are positioning your business on Google, for info SEND YES”?

5 Spam Calls from Agencies Impersonating Google – Don’t Fall for Fake Telemarketing from Those Impersonating Google
Call from Google to get the Local Google My Business card: it's a scam! The card is free!
As we have seen, many entrepreneurs are receiving phone calls from operators who pretend to be Google representatives , offering advantageous and unrepeatable deals, promising visibility on Google and placement in the top positions of search engines.

But this is a complete scam, as Google does not call your home or business !

In fact, these are scams on Google My Business , and therefore on local Google campaigns .

Since these operators are very credible, many entrepreneurs listen to the proposal and then end up accepting the offer, precisely for fear of disappearing from Google results.

So how can you defend yourself from these Google My Business scams?

Let's see together who makes these calls, how to recognize the scam and why you should absolutely not accept them.

To unmask these Google scams , first you need to look at the prefix of the call : calls from Google support come from Dublin, and therefore with the prefix +353.

If the call comes from a prefix other than +353, refuse the offer, as it is certainly a scam. Another way to recognize and defend yourself from fake Google call scams is to know what Google will never offer you , and therefore how Google My Business works in reality.

Google will never call you to suggest:
Pay for Google My Business listing and to appear in search engines
Improve your positioning for a fee
Manage your Google My Business profile for a fee
Request passwords or verification codes. You should never provide sensitive information such as passwords and verification codes to any mobile operator.
Anyone who calls and offers to do the operations listed above and pretends to be Google is a scammer, so you should absolutely not accept!

Even on the Google support page, under “Calls from Google”, it is explained that Google will never call you to offer you these services.

Google My Business is a completely free service
Google My Business or “The business listing on Google Maps” is a completely free service offered to businesses and activities, so the Google My Business listing is not paid. Another important thing: the Google My Business listing, once created, does not expire: for this reason, those who call you to tell you that your listing needs to be renewed, refuse because it is a Google My Business scam.

“Google called me”, “I received a call from Google”, “Google Maps called me”, “Google positioning sale” “Google Local Listing Call”
“I got a call from Google”: how to recognize the scam?

So how can you avoid falling victim to these dishonest web agencies, which call pretending to be Google and offering paid services?

In fact, you often hear entrepreneurs say “Google called me”: in these scam phone calls, made by dishonest or, better yet, unethical web agencies, these proposals are usually made:

They promise you a free website for two years, or for a few hundred euros a year
They ensure that you are first in Google positioning
They tell you that they will make you appear on Google for, for example, only 300 euros
These offers are all scams, because Google never calls anyone to make these types of offers.

Remember in fact that:

Google not calling on phone
Google does not visit businesses or stores
Google does not offer paid services that it offers for free
Let's also look at some typical proposals that are made through these fake Google call scams :

Google wants to build your website
Google doesn't make websites! Google indexes websites, that is, it orders them so that they appear in user searches, but it doesn't make them. Google doesn't make your website, neither for free nor for a fee!

Google can rank you first on…Google
Google will never offer you the guarantee of being first on search engines. To do this, there are professionals who know Google's algorithms and the tools to help you get an excellent positioning and index your website.

Get yourself listed on Google Maps for a fee
Appearing on Google Maps is free and you can do it yourself in just a few minutes: just go to Google My Business and follow the steps!

If they call you to offer you these things , you should know that it was certainly not Google, but a scam .

But then who makes these calls? Or who are the scammers who send SMS with the words “Dear, we are positioning your business on Google, for info SEND YES” ?
They are called scams carried out by people who are not at all serious and professional, sometimes even web agencies, who try to convince you to purchase their services using the word Google , which everyone knows and which is synonymous with reliability.

They want you to believe that they are calling on behalf of Google , but instead they are simply trying to acquire customers in a dishonest or at least deceptive manner, by pretending to be Google.

So, if you receive a call from Google , remember right away that it is a scam, made by people who want to sell you Google-related services or websites.

If you are wondering “Did I get a call from Google or not?”, then know that the answer is absolutely no. Beware of Google call scams!

Spam Calls from Agencies Impersonating Google – Don’t Fall for Fake Telemarketing from Those Impersonating Google
Today, more than ever, unfortunately, there are truly so many scams on the web : even calls from Google are therefore to be considered online scams.

As we have seen, there are in fact many agencies or people who call companies and entrepreneurs pretending to be Google.

If you are an entrepreneur or a professional, you too will have received phone calls asking you if you want to take advantage of some Google services and offers, and you will certainly have thought "I received a call from Google".

Surely you have been asked questions like: “Do you want to see your site in the first position on Google and beat your competitors?”.

Know that you have absolutely not received a call from Google , but a scam call.
