Another point to be aware of is that most parties charge a financial contribution to maintain their activities, actions and campaign financing.

Contest an election
If the goal of joining is to run for an elected office, do not leave it until the last few months before the election, as there is a limit set by the TSE of at least 6 months before the voting day. In addition, it is necessary to go through the voting at the party conventions.

Remember that joining a party is just the first step; it is essential to prepare for a political career through courses and training.

The minimum requirements to be nominated in an election are:

- Brazilian nationality for all positions (Brazilians born or naturalized);

- Full exercise of political rights (not having suspended japan mobile database political rights and having served the full sentence if convicted of a crime, etc.);

- Voter registration, holding a valid voter registration card;

- Voter domicile in the country, state and municipality for which he/she wants to run for office (the person may be born in another location, but must be a candidate in the place where he/she votes);

- Affiliation to a party;

- Reservist certificate (being up to date with military obligations in the case of male candidates.

We talked about how to start a political career in our other post.

If the party did not meet your expectations, you have the right to leave the party at any time and in a very simple manner. Check out what the TRE advises on leaving the party.
