I was personally looking forward to the next lecture
because my great friend Jindra Fáborský ( @faborsky ) was speaking. During the 45 minutes allotted
to each speaker, Jindra briefly presented the basic changes on Facebook in the last
year and added some interesting information under the somewhat depressing title "We're done for, dear marketers / cc.
@facebook" .
At the beginning, he showed off his graphic
skills a little, showed that he was right in the second slide, and then moved on to Facebook . It is certainly worth mentioning
that after logging in, you see up to 60% of advertising
messages on the home screen and only one or two statuses of your friends. Facebook, like
any company, needs to make money, and after entering the stock exchange and the subsequent significant drop in
share prices, Facebook offered new advertising formats
. Not only companies, but also users themselves can linkedin database promote their posts, which
are then displayed on the wall among others. A few months later,
the reach of posts also dropped by several dozen percent. Facebook explained this by saying that there are
more and more messages and it tries to give people only the most relevant ones. In conclusion,
Jindra discussed the changes to the rules by Facebook and pointed out that all content that we upload to
our personal and company profiles becomes the property of the social network, and if it decides
to change the rules of the game, our company will not be able to do much about it and will have to adapt.
