The new architecture represents a “fundamental shift” in the economics of IoT security, ARM officials said, and the introduction of a set of foundational rules will enable developers and manufacturers to reduce the cost, time, and risk associated with modern IoT security.
“To make this vision a reality, we as a global population must become more knowledgeable about protecting our devices, trusting the IT industry to do everything it can to protect users and their data,” said Paul Williamson, vice president and general manager of ARM’s IoT Device IP business. “Manufacturers have to work hard to earn that trust so we can stand up to hackers who relentlessly search for vulnerabilities to find more entry points into our lives.”
, will be released in Q1 2018. According to Rob Coombs, ARM's portugal whatsapp data of IoT security, the PSA represents the culmination of years of work by ARM and its partners.
In addition to the PSA release, the company also introduced ARM TrustZone CryptoIsland, a new product line of on-chip and smart card-level security subsystems for applications that require high levels of security (such as LPWA communications and storage), as well as a new ARM CoreSight SDC-600 Secure Debug Channel for debugging.
