DeviceLock Virtual DLP technology expands the capabilities of solutions for creating an isolated protected work environment thanks to a comprehensive set of both context control tools and various methods for filtering the content of data transferred in terminal sessions. The essence of this technology is to control desktop or published application and peripheral devices redirected to remote work computers, including removable drives, printers, USB ports and the data clipboard. Moreover, network communications of users within a terminal session are also controlled by the DLP mechanisms of the DeviceLock software package. Centralized logging of user actions and shadow copying of files and data transferred by them are also provided.
In a typical scenario of using a virtualization environment, an employee is provided terminal access to a set of applications published in the Citrix XenApp environment, which together constitute kuwait whatsapp data employee's set of business tools. To maintain the efficiency of employees at their workstations, the local printer and clipboard are redirected to the terminal session. At the same time, to prevent the transfer of data to circuit storage devices that the employee can use at his or her workstation, redirection of data to the terminal session is prohibited for a certain group of users. The facts of using the printer and clipboard, the contents of printed documents and data transferred in the clipboard, as well as attempts to copy data to circuit storage devices by users who are prohibited from using them, are recorded.
In this scenario, DeviceLock, when installed on a virtualization server accessed by the user through a terminal session, intercepts requests to devices redirected to the terminal session and blocks their use only for a group of users predefined by the administrator, without interfering, but logging document printing and access to the data exchange buffer. All events related to these devices are recorded together with shadow copies in the centralized DeviceLock DLP archive.
