Did you know that you can rank higher in Google's search results as a person with an optimized Google+ profile? In this video I give you 5 tips to optimize your Google+ profile for search engines!

1. Optimize your Google+ 'about' page
First, optimize your Google+ profile by filling out your 'about' page. Make sure this page is full of keywords. For me, these are 'social media,' 'online video' and the name of my company. This is also the ideal place for links to your website and social media profiles.

2. Get more followers on Google+
The more followers you have on Google+ , the higher your profile will appear in the search results. This is because Google personalizes the search results. For example, someone who doesn't follow me searches for 'online video productions.' The chance that my article or profile will appear on the first page of the search results for that person is very small. However, if that person does follow me on Google+, Google personalizes the search results - and the chance that I will appear on the first page is very high.

If I have claimed authorship of the article I have written (see tip 3), my photo and a link to my Google+ profile will also be visible with the article in the search results. If you have the choice between a regular blue search link, or a link with a photo and article by a well-known person, then the choice is quickly made. It is therefore very important to get a lot of followers to get higher in search results.

3. Claim authorship for your online articles
With Google+, you can easily claim authorship for your online content. When a blog post appears in search results, your name and photo will be included. Your name will also be clickable from the search results, so people can add you to Google+ right away.

There are two ways to connect your articles to your Google+ profile:

Add your email address to every post, and use that same email address in your Google+ profile.
Add your Google+ profile link to the default author description on your cambodia telegram data own website, then add your website's link to the 'contributor to' section on Google+.
4. Link your Google+ profile to your website
Make sure your Google+ profile or page links directly to your website. You can do this by claiming authorship (see tip number 3), or by adding a Google+ badge adding

Add a Google+ badge to your website
There are two different types of badges: for Google+ profiles and Google+ pages. By placing a badge on your website, you make it easy for your readers to recommend your website – which will help you rank higher in search results. In addition, a badge can also get you more Google+ followers. Telling Google that these two pages (your website and your Google+ profile) belong together can help you dominate search results.

5. Add the +1 button to your posts
The Google +1 button is similar to the Facebook like button, but has a greater influence on search results: you will rank higher in search results if it has more +1's! This even applies to people who don't have a profile on Google+. The more +1's your article has, the more weight your website will have in search results – and the more likely you are to rank higher in a search. In addition, +1's will immediately spread your article on Google+: users will recommend your content to their circles and thus send more traffic to your website. So it's very important to make it easy for your reader to click that +1. Make sure that the +1 button is automatically included with all your articles.
