Vladimir Bezmaly | 10.22.2019
As always, trouble comes unexpectedly. That is what happened on this Sunday. Despite the foggy autumn morning, the day promised to be sunny and warm.
The morning began with a sharp phone call.
- information security of technological processes. Urgently! However, a service car has been sent for you as well. The Chancellor is waiting for you at our command post. From today until the problem is resolved, you are working under martial law. Do you need to repeat what this means?
- Of course not. I understand everything. I get dressed and go out. As I understand it, we don’t have time for coffee?
- You are right. Coffee and breakfast are already prepared and waiting for you all. You will get acquainted with the problem there.
20 minutes have passed.
- So, gentlemen! We have a huge problem. Our chile mobile database pipeline, which supplies us with currency and neighboring countries with our gas, has been sabotaged. And it was done in a way that we do not yet understand.
- What happened?
— This morning, the imported pumping stations of the S company suddenly switched off. We don’t understand the reason yet. We couldn’t switch them on either from the central control room or locally. You need to understand what happened. And what does this promise for us in the future. And most importantly — what to do?
Two weeks have passed.
- Mr. Chancellor, things are much worse than we thought. I don't know how and who checked the electronic equipment, but as it turned out, a satellite receiver was "smeared" on the boards. And the pumping stations were switched off by command from the satellite. Moreover, stations of other foreign manufacturers were also under threat of switching off.
Johann, we need your specialists
