In this chapter, we will explain the points marketing directors email database you should be careful of when using RLSA in the process of setting up RLSA.
The difference between targeting and monitoring
When using RLSA, you set up which user list to use for the campaign or ad group, but there are two main ways to set this up: "targeting" and "monitoring."
Which of these two you choose will have a significant impact on your future results, so make sure you understand the differences between the two characteristics explained below.
What is targeting?
If you choose the targeting method, your ads will be delivered only to users who fit into the user list you have set.
What is monitoring?
If you select the monitoring method, your ads will be delivered not only to users who match the user list you set, but also to users who search for keywords that match your bidded keywords.
You can increase your bid and deliver ads to users who fit your user list.
In addition, these two methods are referred to by the two words "targeting" and "monitoring" in the case of Google, while in the case of Yahoo! they are referred to by the two words "users on the target list" and "all users," respectively.
There is no particular difference between the methods of distinguishing between Google and Yahoo!, and the only difference is how the bid price is set. For more information, please refer to the official websites of Google and Yahoo!.

Minimum number of lists required to use RLSA
In order to use RLSA, you can only set up user lists whose list size (the number of lists contained in the user list) meets certain criteria.
Both Google and Yahoo! must be over 1,000.

If you set up a user list that does not actually exceed these numbers, Google will display an error on the settings screen, but Yahoo! will not.
Therefore, when using RLSA on Yahoo!, you need to check and understand the list size in advance from the settings screen.
