How to prepare for the transition
Despite the interest in the electronic document exchange format, businesses are in no hurry to get rid of paper media. "Transition to electronic document management is a labor-intensive process. Companies need to restructure business processes to start working in a new way, train employees. Another difficulty in implementing ETRN is the long document flow chain. A document is filled out by three to six participants at once, all of whom must be connected to EDI. At the same time, large players in the transportation market usually have a positive attitude towards the possibility of transition, and small businesses are reluctant to try new tools," notes Oksana Leonova.
