Experts from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) have published a report entitled "Global Cybersecurity Index". The authors of the study classified Russia as an advanced country in the field of information security (IS), placing it on a par with China, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Ireland and Israel. ITU jordan whatsapp number database experts classified legal regulation, the volume of production capacity of IS market participants and organizational capabilities as strengths of the Russian Federation, and the areas of technical equipment and cooperation between companies as areas where growth is possible.

The study was conducted from 2022 to 2023, and included respondents from ITU members and stakeholders from 172 countries. In this analysis, the researchers relied on five key areas of the Global Cybersecurity Agenda: the progress of cybersecurity within a country and compared to other countries, the country's engagement in cybersecurity from a global and regional perspective, and how countries' cybersecurity performance compares to other countries in the region and the world.

In the previous study, published in 2021, Russia fell into the first category of countries and was one of the role models in the field of information security, along with the United States and Western European countries.
for calculating some indicators, such as cooperation, appears questionable and, as a result, the results of the report do not inspire confidence.

"In the organizational and legal system in Russia, legislation in terms of personal data is more developed than in the USA, but the rating is the highest in both countries," Andrey Mishukov noted.

He noted that the domestic cybersecurity market is younger than its American counterpart, and some products are "not as mature", but the largest Russian antivirus companies are not inferior to their Western competitors.

"As for cooperation, the information security market is quite closed, large vendors are not always ready to open ecosystems for other organizations, this is one of the growth points for cooperation, including with small developers who could be useful to large players. As a comparison, the same can be said about other countries: the cybersecurity market is mostly quite closed all over the world, including in the USA," said Andrey Mishukov.

According to Natalia Ledneva, Advisor to the General Director of RooX LLC, compatibility and integration are one of the development potentials of the Russian information security solutions segment. According to her, the company is purposefully expanding the technological partnership program for the RooX UIDM access management system.

"For prompt interaction and exchange of experience, we have created a Telegram community dedicated to authentication and authorization issues. This space serves as a platform for discussions and knowledge sharing in real time. Community members actively join the discussion, provide consultations and help resolve emerging issues. For example, not long ago, experts shared their developments on how to counter credential sharing," concluded Natalia Ledneva.
