Rostelecom PJSC reported on October 17 that Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of Rostelecom PJSC Anton Godovikov and CEO of Sberbank-Telecom LLC (MVNO operator SberMobile) Sergey Volkov signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Finopolis-2024 forum of innovative financial technologies. Clients of the virtual communications operator will receive access to high-speed Internet and digital television based on Rostelecom infrastructure.

Internet from Rostelecom algeria whatsapp number database when purchasing a SIM card. The pilot project will take place in Moscow and the Moscow region, and in the future the service will be available in other regions of Russia," the statement said.

Anton Godovikov said that the new partnership will allow the operator to improve the availability and quality of communication services. He noted that Rostelecom has extensive experience in the areas of virtual mobile communications and home optical Internet using the FVNO model.

"The combination of key competencies and capabilities of our companies will allow us to offer clients truly advantageous package solutions for the comprehensive use of telecom services," said Anton Godovikov.

"Cooperation with Rostelecom will save our clients' time and provide them with more options. Mobile Internet makes us independent of location, allowing us to always stay in touch and enjoy all the benefits of the Sber ecosystem. At home, high-speed and stable Internet is especially important for us for online cinemas and computer games. Now we can meet the needs of users in any circumstances," said Sergey Volkov.

A representative of the press service of SberMobile in a conversation with a ComNews correspondent noted that both parties are interested in cooperation. According to him, the convergent product is convenient, and SberMobile constantly analyzes the market in search of the best products and services for the operator's clients.

"The signing of the memorandum is one of the stages of cooperation between Sberbank and Rostelecom," a representative of the Rostelecom press service told a ComNews correspondent. "The decision matured at the time of discussing future prospects. Tariffs for the new service will be formed depending on the possibilities of joint package offers."

He noted that Rostelecom, as a federal infrastructure operator, has the capabilities and resources to develop cooperation with operator companies using MVNO and FVNO models, and SberMobile is not the first case. Rostelecom cooperates with PJSC MegaFon, their FNVO project for connecting home Internet has been implemented in 54 regions.

"A comprehensive offer of mobile communications plus broadband Internet access (BBA) has been practiced on the market for a long time," said Vadim Plessky, an independent expert on the IT and telecom markets. "For the last year, T2 has been actively promoting broadband Internet access from Rostelecom, which is logical. If we replace mobile communications from T2 with SberMobile in this offer, we will get a similar offer. T2's long-term goal is to grow its subscriber base, increasing the gap with the fourth-largest operator in terms of subscriber base. The agreement with SberMobile is aimed, among other things, at fulfilling this task."

According to Denis Kuskov, CEO of the TelecomDaily news agency, the wired Internet and pay TV market is practically not growing and the cooperation between SberMobile and Rostelecom is unlikely to bring many new clients to the latter.

"Most market players have already built up client bases, and it is necessary to either dump prices or hope for a client transition, which is very unlikely," concluded Denis Kuskov.
