During a mountain bike ride, the penny dropped: I am going to use this metaphor of the 3 B's to stick the attraction and condition of blogs. The end result is the following hop, skip and jump: Captivate - Understand - Stick. Curious? Pick up your pen and use the BBB strategy for your blogs. Don't just aim your arrows or fountain pen at 'attracting attention', 'understandable language' and 'stickiness' alone. It is the combination that is effective. Not only in the gym, but also in your blog.

Hink 1: Buoys
People – and therefore also entrepreneurs – are exposed to thousands of stimuli per day. Consciously and unconsciously. Thanks to social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, this number of stimuli has grown disproportionately. There is a big chance that you will become 'overstimulated' by a flood of information via emails, commercials, tweets and messages. Between these stimuli, you try to attract the attention of readers with your blog. Without a good eye-catcher, your blog is doomed to go under. If you want to be read, you have to stand out and captivate at a glance.

Here comes the comparison with the dating site again. If you master the art of seduction, you will be much more easily noticed. And that is the purpose of your blog: to invite people to read and read on. With the following five tips, you will attract attention and keep it:

Use an eye-catching image in every blog post.
Spark your reader's curiosity with a challenging headline.
Start with an intriguing opening that evokes recognition or association.
Make it easier for your reader to scan and summarize by using subheadings.
Serve your blog post in short, snappy, bite-sized chunks of text.

Step 2: Understand
Many blogs form a maze of words, sentences and punctuation marks on the screen. As a reader, you get lost on the screen. Or you stumble over difficult words or artificial sentence structures. Also remember that reading from a screen slows down readability by 25 percent. As a reader, you only draw one conclusion from such a text: Stop! Comprehensibility is important when you make contact via a dating site. Do you sense each other? Do you understand each other and is there empathy? Communication via blogs is also two-way traffic. With the following five cosmetic interventions, you can make your texts much more comprehensible.

Add rhythm to a text by varying sentence length (long sentences, short sentences, and one- or two-word sentences).
Write colloquial language, which is easier to read than formal language.
Use verbs that actually 'work' (for example, mountain biking instead of exercise or connecting computers instead of implementing).
Write actively (i.e. limit the passive voice).
Use images (metaphors) and examples to visualize your story.
Jump 3: Sticking
Back to the 'love of your life' on the dating site. After hours of calling and a week of emailing or slovenia mobile phone number list WhatsApping, it's high time for your first date. Will it remain a cup of coffee and a bite to eat? Or will you kiss each other passionately, dive between the sheets and start a relationship together? Without a kiss or a follow-up appointment, your date won't stick. The same goes for your blog. Without conversion, you'd better opt for just diary notes or a poetry album with a lock on it. Do you want to stick with your blog article? With the following five tips you can increase your chances:

Build authority by sharing knowledge in a distinctive way. Avoid copycatting and parroting, but let your own voice and experiences resonate.
Use the power of storytelling: tell personal stories and anecdotes. Stories are more fun to read, easier to remember than a list of facts and easy to pass on
Use social media (Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin) to promote your blog post, including posting in groups and responding to discussions on Linkedin.
Write provocatively and invite readers to respond: for example, retweets on Twitter and likes on Facebook.
Ask fans or ambassadors with a large group of friends (Facebook), contacts (Linkedin) or followers (Twitter) to spread your blog and benefit from their reach.
Have you read the text up to here? Do you understand my message? And do you get butterflies in your stomach from the hop-step-jump. Blogging = Captivating, Understanding & Sticking? Then let's make the following appointment: post your reaction or let this blog post stick further via social media.
