According to Zuckerberg, the “ metaverse will be like a hybrid of today’s online social experiences, sometimes expanded into three dimensions or projected into the physical world. It will allow you to share immersive experiences with other people even when you can’t be together, and to do things together that you couldn’t do in the physical world. It’s the next evolution in a long line of social technologies , and it’s marking the beginning of a new chapter for our company.”
which you can watch in the video below, Zuckerberg presented a new series of social concepts that will be present in the metaverse as a way to prepare us for how the world will be perceived through its virtual reality. For example, sending your holographic image to a concert, playing immersive games with friends, and new avatars capable of focusing their gaze "naturally."
Following the event, Zuckerberg published an open letter algeria business email database outlining his plans for the next few years of metaverse development:
«In the metaverse, you will be able to do almost anything you can imagine: meet up with friends and family, work, learn, play, shop, create, as well as completely new experiences that don't really fit the way we think with computers or phones today.
In this future, you'll be able to instantly teleport as a hologram to be in the office without having to commute , at a concert with friends, or in your parents' living room to catch up. This will open up more opportunities no matter where you live. You'll be able to spend more time on what matters to you, cut down on time in traffic, and reduce your carbon footprint.
Think about how many physical things you have today that could be holograms in the future . Your TV, your perfect multi-monitor work setup, your board games, and more – instead of physical things assembled in factories, they will be holograms designed by creators around the world.
