Spotify wants to diversify its platform so that its users can find more than just streaming music content. To do this, it has announced that it will launch its own line of makeup .
The creation of these beauty products has been possible thanks to their partnership with Merchbar . Spotify already began to ally itself with this company last year to sell merchandising products from the profiles of different artists hosted on its platform.
Professional make-up artist Pat McGrath has been in charge of creating this range of cosmetics . Among other products, McGrath has designed lipsticks and eyeliners. Their launch price will be £22 and £18.95 respectively.
This makeup will be the same one used by many of the artists on the platform. Regarding these products, Pat McGrath said: “In this digital age of makeup, I always want to reach where fans are most engaged. That’s why this relationship with Spotify is so important, as it combines beauty and music in a completely new way.”
To announce the launch of these cosmetics, artist Maggie Lindemann is preparing a ukraine phone number new single . Jordan Gremli, Spotify's Head of Artist and Fan Development has stated that “Lindemann's song will connect directly with her fans on Spotify , the place where they directly enjoy her music.”
However, Spotify has not confirmed whether it will partner with other companies in the future to sell other types of products. It also did not want to specify whether it will continue to expand its cosmetics offering.
What she has said is that she will not make any profit from allowing this line of cosmetics to be sold on her website. The only thing she intends with this initiative is to help the artists who are hosted on her platform in their artist marketing strategies and to strengthen her community of users.
Coinciding with the announcement of this makeup line, Spotify has announced that tickets for Who We Be have sold out today . The festival will take place on November 30 at Alexandra Palace (London).
