No matter how hard a Company strives for perfection, it is simply not realistic for this particular MLM system to please everyone all the time. An unhappy distributor will always be a fact of life in MLM, and poaching situations will certainly arise. These situations must be addressed with the approaches described below in mind. However, if a Company chronically suffers from a poaching problem, it must take a hard look at itself to determine if it has created the problem. The Company must line data honestly answer several basic, self-critical questions:
1. Are my products or services of poor quality?
2. Are my prices too high?
3. Are orders taken and shipped promptly?
4. Are customer service representatives courteous and helpful, and do they perform their duties diligently?
5. Is the compensation plan competitive with others in the industry?
6. Are the qualification requirements too onerous?
7. Will legal problems damage the reputation?

There are many issues of this nature that management must address. The fundamental issue, however, is whether the company can make distributors and customers happy. The MLM industry is fiercely competitive and there is no shortage of good companies selling high quality products and offering a generous compensation plan. If a company is not competitive in these areas, its distributors and customers will flee. So, if a company has high turnover and a high poaching problem, the first step should be to find and correct its own shortcomings, rather than trying to blame the distributors for the problem.
