I left the company in 2017 and became a contract-based website designer/Korean interpreter. Now it has been 5 years. Let me share my experience over the past few days. Have I achieved time and financial freedom?

From 2016 to 2017, I worked in a large domestic company. I learned a lot of web-related technologies in that company. I am very grateful to my supervisor and colleagues for their generous teaching, but at the same time, there were many painful aspects of the work.
The commute time to Keelung Xindian is so long
Almost everyone living in the greater Taipei area commutes. Although I live in Anle District, which is the most convenient area for commuters in Keelung, my company doesn't have a direct bus to Xindian. I have to take a ride with my supervisor during get off work hours (I'm very grateful that my supervisor lives in the same district as me), and when I get off work, my supervisor has to work overtime, so it takes me more than 1.5 hours to get home by bus. If there's a traffic jam, it could take more than 2 hours.
