In order to develop its studies and research on human behavior, this discipline relies on the application of the scientific method, which has served to make experts recognize its status as a science.

Before entering into the subject, it is necessary to share what the Royal Spanish Academy of Language defines as science: a “set of knowledge obtained through observation and reasoning, systematically structured and from which general principles and laws with predictive capacity and experimentally verifiable are deduced.” This is the basis for analyzing how much of science psychology is.

Although some people who graduated in psychology may work in jobs that may not seem scientific, in practice, the study of this career is conditioned by various research findings that are cpa b2b list based on the scientific method. Psychology is commonly known as a social science and is included in the list of disciplines recognized by both researchers and professors.

Psychology as a science
As “ the science of behavior ” is how Karl U. Smith and William M. Smith define psychology in their book The Behavior of Man (1963). This definition confirms the scientific characteristic that experts have conferred on this discipline. This is how psychology becomes a “ human science ” that focuses on the specific and detailed study of human behavior.

In this sense, many undergraduate psychology programs are shaped by the objectives established in the Guidelines for the Undergraduate Specialization in Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA) , as is the case with the program offered by Southern New Hampshire University . In this way, one of the APA's objectives is pursued, which is scientific research and critical thinking.

This is how psychology as a science seeks to use scientific reasoning to interpret various psychological phenomena, demonstrate literacy in psychological information, and interpret, design, and carry out different basic psychological analyses for research. With this, the APA has taken it upon itself to express its widespread recognition of psychology as a science, which is why it places great emphasis on its guidelines.
