What is organizational leadership and what are its objectives?

Within every organization there must be one or more people responsible for directing or guiding employees. In this sense, we talk about the role of the leader, whose responsibility cp number is to shape the contributions of others, combining them to produce organizational results. This is possible by linking business understanding with the role of future visionary and advanced thinker, who leads broad people-oriented initiatives, using integrity and ethics.



Organizational Leadership: What is it?
It is a management approach in which a leader helps set strategic goals for the organization, while motivating people to successfully carry out tasks in service of the purposes . It allows one to see the big picture and also understand the processes or steps to make changes happen. This is how organizational leadership, also called business leadership, leads people towards the achievement of a corporate goal.

The works of Thomas Carlyle (1795-1881) and Francis Galton (1822-1911) during the 19th century are considered to be the origin of the study of business leadership, creating the basis for the development of the first theories that explained leadership as a phenomenon, and that substantiated the capabilities of the leader among those responsible for decision-making in companies. When presenting the definition of organizational leadership according to authors, it is necessary to consider the following:

“Organizational leadership can be basically understood as the situation of superiority in which some people find themselves in their respective organizations, since, due to their notable personal qualities or actions, they manage to get the teams they lead to lead in the fulfillment of organizational goals.” Definition by Antonio Duro Martín in his book Introduction to organizational leadership. “Organizational leadership is the final stage of the transformation journey—after having learned to lead one-on-one and lead teams. “Organizational leadership is a function of two factors, the motivational orientation of the leader and the favorable conditions of the situation, so it is the most favorable combination of the leader's style with the situation, considering the leader-member relationships, the leader's power position and the task structure.” Appreciation of Fred E. Why is it important? Organizational leadership involves power, authority, influence and persuasion over a group of people. Within a company, this serves to ensure that members can have equal conditions to achieve goals and objectives together, but also, each one has the opportunity to achieve an individual benefit.
