Automate the rest of the workflow steps

Using Slack for communication: sending notifications or updates to team members

Open the Make script where you already set up the trigger and click the "+" icon after the trigger module to add a new action.

Make script

In the search bar, type the name of the app or service you want to use (for example, Slack, Whisper API, or Airtable) and select the app from the list of results.

Next, select the specific action to be performed in this program.

For example:

For Slack: "Send message"
For the Whisper API: "Transcribe Audio"
For Airtable: "Create a record"
Configure the module

Configure the module by filling in the required fields. This usually involves logging into your service account and choosing specific details, such as which Slack channel to post to or which Airtable database to use.

Next, you need to map the data from the previous steps to the fields of your new module. To do this, click on the small “map” icon next to the field. In the mapping interface, you will see the available data from the previous steps. Select the appropriate item to transfer this data to the new module.

Add any additional processing steps as needed. For example, you can use Make's built-in functions to format text or perform calculations.

Click OK to save the configuration for this module. Repeat these steps for each subsequent step in your workflow. Once you have added all the steps, click Save to save the entire script.

Finally, test your workflow — click “Run Once” and watch the execution to make sure each step works as expected. Make any necessary adjustments and continue testing until everything works perfectly.
