Why visitors don't add products to cart on product pages: how to increase the number of transactions?
There is no single answer. You will soon see that the reasons may concern technological, UX, marketing or communication issues.
I'm going to ask you 10 questions that you simply must answer honestly if you want to really increase your add-to-cart rate.
How many times in your life have you clicked on tempting and eye iran rcs data -catching ads? How many times has a Facebook post led you to a store? Or how many times have you gone from a newsletter straight to a product page or landing page?
Now think about how often ads or social media posts have nothing to do with what you see next . There's probably nothing more irritating.
If the ads are not consistent with what the user sees on the site, it is no wonder that he or she does not want to make a purchase.
I am talking here about both the creation – from the visual layer to the language in the advertising copy – and the offer itself.
Idea…
If the ad mentions a promotion and discount, but the product page doesn't, how will the user feel? Or if they click on the ad and end up somewhere completely unrelated to it? The chances of adding the product to the cart decrease to zero, but the bounce rate increases - and you don't want that.
Ensure consistency in your communication and carefully analyze all the links you use in your campaign – UTM tags will help you with this .
