The document also sets requirements for the quality of biometric samples of facial images and voice recordings placed in the Unified Biometric System and its regional segments, depending on the purpose of use, identification or authentication, and the methods of their registration - personal appearance, self-registration or transfer from other systems. "The created vectors have a validity period equal to the period of possible processing of biometric PDn, from which such vectors were obtained. Upon expiration of this period, the vectors must be deleted," the authors of the document explain.

Chairman of the Association of Russian Banks Committee on Information Security Andrey Fedorets reported that in March the Ministry of Digital Development and the Central Bank will hold a meeting with representatives of the banking community to explain the initiative. He believes that the current understanding of the legislative initiative is far from complete. "The community is waiting for clarifications from the Ministry of Digital Development and the Central Bank. We expect that the meeting with bank representatives initiated by the management of the Bank of Russia will take place in early March," he said.
