And it does not perceive domains delegated after this period as such. Schwartz has repeatedly asked ICANN to pay attention to this situation, but there has been no response. At the same time, universal acceptance is one of ICANN's strategic priorities. But, in Schwartz's opinion, the corporation is too focused on issues of accepting internationalized domains and does not pay enough attention to purely technical - as in this case - aspects of the problem.

It is worth adding, by the way, that in the case of WhatsApp, the "misadventures" of the .TUBE domain are not related to the outdated code library for Android. The messenger does not recognize the domain on iOS devices either. At the same time, if you enter www. or http:// in the text, WhatsApp will immediately turn the text into a hyperlink - even if the general top-level domain specified below does not exist in principle.
