The parents , or those who exercise parental responsibility, will be able to request SPID for minors , using their level 2 SPID credentials , which will also be used to manage the identity of the minor in some particular cases.

Once the SPID credentials have been released to the minor, the parent will be able to manage the child's digital identity through their own SPID . In fact, for access to some specific services, the system will require specific consent from the parent via a notification email.

The parent, using their SPID credentials, will be able to check, confirm or deny access requests coming from the child's digital identity.

Spid for minors: dedicated services.
At the moment, the use of SPID for children under 14 is only possible for online services offered by schools such as, for example, the electronic register. In fact, an experimental period is planned for this age group until June 30, 2023 , while still guaranteeing access to the school's online services without using SPID, with the methods already in use.

Children between the ages of 14 and 17 will be able to use their SPID credentials to access some services offered by the Public Administration such as INPS, the Electronic Health Record or the services for checking points on the moped license on the Motorist Portal.

How to request SPID for minors. What parents should do
Parents can request the release of SPID for minor children by contacting Register.it , an Identity Provider accredited for the release of Digital Identity.

The parent must have previously activated their SPID credentials on Register.it. At that point, by accessing the management panel of their digital identity with their SPID, they will be able to enter the data relating to the minor for whom they intend to request the release of SPID and manage the access authorizations to the services related to the use of SPID by the minor child.
