new digital tool has appeared in the arsenal of government agencies of Chuvashia. All government data is now stored in a single repository - a regional data lake. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Information Policy and Mass Communications of the Chuvash Republic.

The data lake is accessed through the Regional Information System of Interdepartmental Interaction of the Chuvash Republic (RIIIC). This is a single platform for hosting all regional data sets and data marts. It has an open and closed part.
In the closed section, regional showcases are created - industry data warehouses that are integrated with the National Data Management System (NDMS) through the interdepartmental electronic interaction system. Thanks to this technology, government agencies can quickly exchange data, and residents can receive government services in the shortest possible time. For example, a request to the showcase can confirm whether a person is a regional beneficiary or not in a matter of seconds.
The owner can control the operation of the regional showcase: determine data suppliers, the frequency of information updates and methods of notifying suppliers.
Developers of other information systems can transfer data to the NMS by loading departmental data into the regional lake. It is also possible to load already prepared files or enter data manually.
Data providers no longer need to replicate the standard software of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development to launch their data mart. All this happens centrally, through the RSMV.
The open part of the RSMV is a database, access to which is also regulated through the settings of the regional showcase. Data from the closed part is received here, but in an anonymized form. This allows for the formation of consolidated analytical information based on the data contained in the showcases. High-quality analytics are critically important in developing strategies for the development of industries, state programs and, in general, for tracking the socio-economic indicators of the region.
All executive bodies and municipalities of Chuvashia, as well as their subordinate organizations, are connected to the RSMV. In 2024, government agencies will switch to a new data exchange mechanism, that is, using this platform.

The system has many capabilities. It is a large data warehouse, a tool for collecting, regulated distribution and depersonalization of data.
