"Technopark of Saint Petersburg" is implementing a large-scale project to transfer its own IT infrastructure entirely to domestic technologies. The main vendor supplying Russian solutions is "Astra Group". At the moment, the implementation of Astra Linux OS, VMmanager virtualization platform, ALD Pro domain controller and RuPost corporate mail management server is in progress.

the technopark plans to achieve two goals. The first is to replace foreign technologies in accordance with the requirements of the regulator and solve its own business problems. The second is to create a productive and scalable IT environment for the operation of the Demonstration Polygon of Russian vendors.

The demo polygon is a malaysia whatsapp resource meeting place for business representatives, government organizations, and ordinary users with key vendors. It is the first project of its kind in Russia, launched within the framework of the concept of technological development of the country until 2030. The site is a permanent exhibition of domestic IT: from servers and switches to operating systems and virtualization platforms. Visitors to the polygon can receive direct advice from vendors on applied issues of using products, as well as see the presented solutions in action. The Astra Group is also present at the exhibition, having deployed a fully operational technology stack based on its own solutions.

The import substitution project of the Technopark of Saint Petersburg is being implemented on the existing infrastructure without interfering with the company's existing business processes. In the early stages, three servers with virtualization will be connected to the local computer network of the Technopark, part of the computing resources will provide corporate communications, and part will provide the functionality of the Demonstration Polygon, on the basis of which it will be possible to deploy and demonstrate any IT solution upon request. Previously, the Technopark used foreign software products, mainly Microsoft: Windows, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Hyper-V, etc. Migration to Russian solutions will take place over the next 6-8 months with professional technical support from the Astra Group.

"The decision to switch to domestic software is not only support for the Russian IT industry, but also a step towards the country's technological sovereignty. We are proud that the best software developers in our country are represented at the demo ground of Russian vendors of the technopark. And, of course, we are among the first to implement their solutions in our work," noted Oleg Yakimov, CEO of JSC Technopark of Saint Petersburg.

"By solving import substitution problems, we receive and use new opportunities to create larger, more productive systems that not only meet the requirements of the regulator, but also have many advantages for users. They are more convenient to work with, they are better protected and are fully prepared for further development and scaling. Our partners have developed exactly this system - not just a replacement for the old one, but a more technologically mature solution with a large reserve for the future, since as the demonstration site of the technology park grows, the need for virtualization and computing resources will only grow. Together, we have selected the optimal combination of software products for various tasks of the Technopark, and now this large-scale plan is being actively implemented," commented Anton Ogorodnikov, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development in the Northwestern Federal District of the Astra Group.

"Astra Group" is an active player in the IT market of the Northwestern Federal District and a participant in import substitution processes in the region. For the convenience of customers and prompt response to requests, the vendor opened an office in St. Petersburg in 2022.
