How to use the User ID feature

Post by shaownhasan »

The User ID feature of Google Analytics allows you to count multiple devices that visit your site as one user .

We imagine that readers may access the same website from multiple devices, such president email lists as PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
If the User ID function is not used, these accesses will be counted separately, resulting in an overcount of the actual number of visitors.
Therefore, User ID assigns a unique ID to each user, and identifies accesses from different devices as coming from the same user .

There is one thing to note. User IDs can only be used on sites that require login to use the service (such as e-commerce sites and SNS) .
This is because unless an ID is issued to a user and the user logs in each time they visit, it is not possible to identify the same user.

Now, we will explain how to use User ID and how to set it up.

1) Agree to User ID
Once you've logged in, click on the gear icon in the bottom left and then "Administration."

Click on the gear icon in the bottom left and click on "Management"

Once the admin screen appears, click on "Tracking Info" in the middle "Property" column .
