ndustrial competence center "Railway Transport and Logistics", which is part of the industry committee "Transport" on September 24 that eight particularly significant projects are being implemented in the ICC in the first wave: three of them have been completed in full and on time, five are at the implementation stage.
Completed projects: automated azerbaijan whatsapp number databa se system for centralized preparation and execution of transportation documents (ETRAN, developer Intellex LLC); automated system for operational transportation management (Unified Model of Transportation Process Data), as well as a project for forecasting passenger flows (developer Center for Infrastructure Economics LLC).
The following are currently under implementation: a unified system for the registration of locomotives by number (75% complete), a new generation automated control system "Express" (passenger complex management - 70%), a project for managing uncoupling repairs (65%), a project for managing the rolling stock (65%), as well as a solution for managing railway infrastructure (40%).
are being implemented using Russian Railways funds for a total of 6.4 billion rubles.
Of the recently completed projects, in June 2024, was the project on passenger flow management. Maxim Fadeev, First Vice President of the Center for Economic Research, reported that this project allows, based on a full array of data covering all types of transport, to determine the parameters for new infrastructure facilities.
The software package consists of three modules: for forecasting intercity passenger flows, intracity flows and the movement of people inside train stations.
"We can model, for example, the situation of how the launch of a new highway will affect the flow of passengers on rail transport. This will help to optimally select the parameters of new infrastructure projects, including high-speed railway lines. If, through more accurate forecasting, we save at least 1% of capital costs, this will already be more than 100 billion rubles - and this is only for the high-speed communication project," explained Maxim Fadeev.
As noted by Evgeny Charkin, this project has the potential to be replicated in the field of air transport, bus, automobile, in urban agglomerations, transport interchange and railway station hubs, as well as in foreign transport companies.
New particularly significant projects in the ICC "Railway Transport and Logistics"
According to the data provided by Evgeny Charkin, two particularly significant projects are aiming to be included in the second stage: the project of SberTroika LLC (development of SberTroika 2.0) and the project of Russian Post JSC (transport platform).
As reported by the press service of the Russian Post, the task within the framework of the ICC is to implement a project for import substitution of the transport platform, which will solve two problems: it will optimize transport management processes in terms of planning and electronic document management, and will also allow import substitution of the current solution based on foreign software (Oracle TMS).
"This solution can potentially be used in any company that has multimodal logistics - this includes companies from retail and logistics. We have applied for the second wave of the ICC and expect to receive a grant," added a representative of the press service of Russian Post.
Participants of the ICC "Railway Transport and Logistics": Russian Railways, Moscow Metro, Saint Petersburg Metro, Mostransavto, Avtodor, GLONASS, Rusatom Cargo, Research Institute of Automobile Transport, Russian Post, Sberbank, SberTroika and Fesco.
