LMonetization of content creators is starting to become a recurring theme. Twitter announced yesterday on its blog the incorporation of Tip Jar in the profiles of content creators on this social network. A feature that allows content creators to have a button on their profile so that followers can support their work.
Esther Crawford, Product Manager at Twitter, told users of the platform in this blog post: “ You drive the conversation on Twitter, and we want to make it easier for you to support each other beyond Follows, Retweets cyprus business email database and Likes. That’s why today we’re introducing Tip Jar, a new way to send and receive tips .”
Tip Jar: Twitter's New Tipping Button
You can find this new feature in an icon right next to the “Follow” button within the profile. When you tap on that icon, you’ll see a list of payment services or platforms that the account has enabled for you to tip. Select the payment service or platform you prefer and you’ll be taken out of Twitter and into the selected app where you can show your support with the amount you choose. The services you can currently add are Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo. Twitter doesn’t take any of the fees. And on Android, tips can also be sent within Spaces.
