Anyone who switches from being a journalist to PR is a traitor. Christof Moser wrote this in Switzerland on Sunday under the title "In the service of obfuscation" and I responded in the blog post "Side-changers, traitors: Dear Christof Moser" . In it I wrote that I am grateful for ideological romantics because they form a counterpole to the cynical mainstream of economic pragmatism. However, I can't do much with Christof Moser's accusation of guilt, and more on that in a moment. The reactions to my text range from applause to "Dave Hertig is completely missing the point" (Markus Rohr on Facebook).
I left Tamedia's Sunday newspaper 12 years ago pakistan rcs data and have been working on my own since then. As a corporate publisher, I soon slipped into bad PR from Moser's perspective. Even then, some people considered me a traitor. I had assumed that was over. But even in 2015 there is a champion of pure, somewhat holy journalism: Christof Moser. He thinks the truth would be better off without the side-changers.
Christof Moser is targeting the wrong people. Public relations does not exist because of us "traitors", but because companies need professional communication. If people who switch sides don't do the job, someone else will.
