Cartoon for doctors: implementation of the edutainment format

Post by md.a.z.i.z.ulha.kim4 »

Oleksandr Semenov , Medical Director of Teva, shared his experience implementing a new Edutainment format through the creation of a cartoon for doctors . This project is a vivid example of integrating education and entertainment into professional activities.

From the editors. On December 10, 2024, we invite you to the unique Pharma Digital Day conference , dedicated to digital innovations in the pharmaceutical industry. Leading companies will share their cases and experience in implementing game-changing digital solutions in the pharmaceutical industry. You will learn about the latest technologies, trends and practical strategies that will help your business stay ahead.

What is Edutainment and why do doctors need it?
The Edutainment format, a combination of the words education and entertainment , was a response to the glut of traditional china telegram screening webinars. In 2020, when everyone went online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of webinars increased dramatically. Unfortunately, their monotony and not always high quality made them less valuable to the audience.

Webinars

Time is the most valuable thing we take from our physicians. We face competition not only from other webinars but also from Netflix, books, and social media. This prompted the Teva team to think about creating a format that would stand out from the usual educational events.

The idea of creating a cartoon
The goal was to develop content that:

Reflects the real patient journey — illustratively, not declaratively.
Demonstrates diagnostic search with correct solutions and mistakes, because learning from other people's mistakes is an important component of professional growth.
Shows modern therapeutic practices in the context of real clinical cases.
In addition, the format was to be interactive, involve doctors in the development of events, and provide practical tools that can be applied in real clinical practice.
