The presence of Featured Snippets on Google's Serp decreases

Post by shaownhasan »

Currently, about 10-15% of all SERPs display featured snippets and there has been something of a gold rush in SEO circles to discover what factors influence the appearance of such snippets in search results.

In recent weeks, however, it seems that their presence in the SERPs has decreased a bit , as also reported by the SEMrush sensor .

Numerous studies have been conducted to try to understand the factors behind how featured snippets work.

Let's proceed in order.

When do Featured Snippets appear on Google?
Featured snippets have the stated goal of responding in the best way and as quickly as possible to a user's question (or information search) . Google's goal is to ensure that the user can satisfy his information need in just a few components of a job seekers database seconds and without the need to take further steps, for example, to access a web page. The featured snippet aims to detail the response given to the user, directly in an organic results box.

This is a rather difficult objective to achieve in reality, since many of the answers given in the zero results boxes are nothing more than small "appetizers" of more succulent and substantial answers that the user will only be able to find by accessing the web page, using the link shown in the box.

The zero result can therefore appear only for those searches that aim to provide concrete answers to one or more search intents.

Currently, it looks like featured snippets can appear in different formats:

paragraph
lists
tables

Paragraphs with definitions seem to be the most popular format among featured snippets at the moment, but position zero can also be achieved through videos.
